Flamboyance 2011

The mega charity fashion show of the year - Flamboyance 2011, whilst raising funds and awareness on the plight of the conditions faced by outpatients at the NCI (NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE) and emphasizing the dire need to address the situation, will also showcase the talents of Sri Lanka’s budding designers and models. Whilst top, experienced models take to the ramp in budding designers’ outfits, established designers will show off their collections using fresh talent.

Pushpika Crowned As Miss Sri Lanka 2011

In the Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka contest held at the Hotel Galadari on the 19th May, popular model Miss Pushpika De Siva was crowned as Miss Sri Lanka 2011. The First and Second runners- up were Shimalka Boderagama and Champa Godagama respectively. Miss Sri Lanka 2011 Pushpika De Silva will represent Sri Lanka at the Miss World 2011 contest due to be held at the end of the year.

UoM Graduation Fashion Show

The University of Moratuwa in collaboration with the London College of Fashion present their Graduate Collections on a fashion show to be held on the 4 and 5 of November at the Galle Face Hotel. The outfits to be displayed are designed for an intended market, by students who have researched on specific customers; designer labels and market segments for fashion seasons and have manufactured a brand new collection of fashion outfits that are to be reproduced by professional models Rasangika Madushani, Charitha Waidyasiri, Nadeeka Perera,Rozanne Diasz, Adriana Corera, Piyumi Leeniyagala, Erosha Autumn and Tehani Perera on the catwalk.
